A graveside service at the
Annie was born in Kremlin on March 11, 1925.
Annie was preceded in death by her first husband,
Gerald Staples; sisters, Elenora Larson and Irene
Swartz; her parents, Christ and Hilda; and stepmother, Leona Gomke.
Survivors include her husband, John Beattie of Olds, Alberta, Canada;
son, Byron (Judy) Staples of Chiliwack, British
Columbia; daughter, Penny (Ralph) Covey of Calgary; brothers, Melvin (Judy) Gomke and Donald Gomke, both of
Kremlin; sisters, Frances Bitz of Bremerton, Wash.
and Alma Klobofski of Havre; 10 grandchildren; seven
great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In living memory of Annie, a tree will be planted at the Fish Creek
Provincial Park in Calgary by the McInnis and
