Obituary: Alphonse P. Faber

Madison- Alphonse P. "Al" Faber, age 89, passed away early at
Sunny Hill Health Care Center. He was born on November 8, 1908, in Sun Prairie, the son of George and Margretha Faber. In his early years he farmed in Sun Prairie and built silos for Madison Silo Company. On June 25, 1955, Al married the former Veronica Kennedy. He worked for the University of Wisconsin in the Soil Science Department. Al loved to garden. Survivors include his wife Veronica of Madison; a daughter Rose of Palatine, Illinois; two sisters, Angeline Kellher of Sun Prairie, and Sister Lipharda, SSND of Oconto; tow nephews, Bob (Hertha) Faber of Sun Prairie, and Jim (Mary) Faber of Battle Creek, Michigan; and a niece, Barb (Pat) Tallman of Ames, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Raymond; and two sisters Marie Faber, and Sister Diecola, SSND. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, March 10, 1998, at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 401 S. Owen Drive, Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
