Another of our aged and respected residents has passed away in the person of Almira Wilkins, relict of the late Charles Perkins, who died om Mar 1 at theage of 73 yrs. Deceased had been in failing health for some years and of late had been confined to her room, her illness being largely due to a general breakup of the system. She was a woman of many excellent parts ie. aconsistent Christian and a member of the James Street Methodist Church.beloved by her family and highly esteemed by all who knew her. She married her late husband in Halton County 50 yrs previous to his death which occured in Jun 1906. Shortly after their marriage they moved to Usborne Twp where they settled on the 4th Con. They retired to Exeter over 25 yrs ago. Sincethe death of Mr Perkins the widow had resided the greater part of the time atthe home of Mr S M Sanders.She is survived by 1 son & 6 daughters: Charles H, Mrs Thos. Harvey, Mrs S MSanders and Mrs S Rowe of Exeter, Mrs (Rev) D M Buchanan of Rolleau, Sask, Mrs John Loadman of Battleford, Sask & Mrs Albert Johnston of St Augustine. Funeral was Monday at the residence of Mr Sanders."
