ALBERT E. ULMER RITES SET
Albert Edward Ulner, 75, retired railroader, died Monday, May 17, 1976,
at a
local hospital. Funeral services
will be at 2 pm Wednesday, May 19, at Van
Orsdel Methodist Church.
Ulmer was born March 7, 1901, in Linburg, Sask., Canada. He came to
Montana
with his parents, Peter and Barbara
Ulmer, in 1917 and the family homesteaded
north of Havre. He retired in
February 1966 after 44 years of service with the
Great Northern Railroad.
Survivors include his wife, Hazel; four sons, Wesley of Grand Forks, ND,
Kenneth of Missoula, and Bill and
Dale of Spokane, WA; two daughters, Mrs
Orville L. (Grace) Stevens of
Virginia Beach, VA, and Mrs Charles (Kay) Trusty
of Great Falls; and 10
grandchildren.
Ulmer was a avid fisherman and played and umpired baseball and softball
for
many years. He was a member of the
Loyal Order of the Moose, the Fraternal
Order of Eagles, the IOOF and the
Brotherhood of Carman. the past few years he
was very active at the Senior
Citizens Center. He was a member of Van Orsdel
Methodist Church.
