MYRNA CARTER

  Myrna (Egbert) Carter, 61, died of kidney failure on Friday, March 23, 2001, at her home in Chester, ID. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, March 27, at the Ashton Stake Center with Bishop Chester Ward officiating. Burial was in the Pineview Cemetery at Ashton.

  Myrna was born to Mont Pond Egbert and Myrtle Rosetta (Carter) Egbert on December 4, 1939, in Harlem. She grew up and attended school in Harlem. In March of 1960 she married Ted Solomon, and they latter divorced. She lived in Montana until 1976 when she moved to Warm Springs, ID, then to St. Anthony. In 1944 she moved to Chester, ID where she has since resided. A professional artist, Myrna was also a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

  Survivors include her children, Tonna Solomon Brood of St. Anthony, Todd Egbert Solomon and Douglas Carter Solomon both of Havre, and Trenna Solomon Maupin of Chester; sisters, June Egbert Balon and Eva Egbert Baker both of Salt Lake City, UT and Barbara Egbert May of Hailey, ID; brothers, Arthur Egbert of Big Timber and Anson Egbert of Rock Springs, WY; and 17 grandchildren.

  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, John Carter Egbert and Howard "Tom" Egbert; and two sisters, Dixie Egbert Jordon and Phyllis Egbert Miller.
